Hello from Amsterdam!

So I'm sitting in a coffee shop right now writing this which is very strange. Anyway we've been here for 2 days now but yesterday we pretty much walked around and recovered from our CRAZY night out in Prague and an overnight train.

So Prague does have a nightlife I have never quite seen before. We became friends with a Kiwi by the name of Andrew and after the three of us spent a depressing but informative and powerful day at a concentration camp about 1 hour outside the city we decided a good night of dancing was in order. So Andrew, Jenn and I met up with about 7 other guys from the hostel and went to the local club which was outside of the old town, meaning very few tourists and a bunch of crazy locals.

First there was one guy (we nicknamed him the red shirt guy) who was loving the music. It was house music (which I have never attempted to dance to) and this guy never stopped dancing for the 5 or so hours we were there. Jenn and one of the guys we were with were naming his dance moves which included "the rocky" which consisted of him pumping one fist in the air over and over, then there was "the canary" which was basically him flapping his arms around, then I can't forget to mention the pointing two fingers in the air and screaming "WHOOOOO". It was by far the most entertaining thing I have seen all trip. Anyway after a few minutes of watching him Jenn and I felt inspired to get out on the dance floor and try our own moves. I quickly learned that jumping around shaking my head and flailing my arms around helped me blend in with everyone else on the dance floor. Now everyone who knows me knows I'm not fond of dancing but Jenn and I danced with our fellow hostelmates for a good 5 hours only stopping to buy another $1.00 beer being sold at the bar. Jenn even danced with the red shirted guy on a collective dare by everyone we were there with. Overall a hilarious night. Jenn once again went to bed after the sun had already risen (I wish I could say the same about myself but I was out by 5am).

Amsterdam is much more chill then Prague but we went to the Van Gogh musuem today as well as explored some of the neighborhoods around the city. Jenn and I also enjoyed some of the local baked goods that Amsterdam has to offer. Tommorrow we are off to the Heineken factory and Ann Frank's house.

We can't believe the trip is almost over. Both of us wish we could continue on traveling but with money running VERY LOW and GMU starting up for me in a few days I guess reality is inevitable and about to kick us in the bum. Sorry we can't put up any pictures but the internet here is so expensive and it takes to long to upload pictures.

I think we'll do our last blog in Paris highlighting our favorite parts of the trip. Thanks everyone for the messages!

We will see everyone soon!!!!!

love - em & jenn
