So the rest of Vietnam trip went like this:
The last couple of days in Nha Trang: One of the days we basically done hee haw, nothing! and it was fabby, although it was a quiet day the funniest thing ever happened.....yes, Laura fell!!!! We had dinner, and went to shop for a few odds and ends before heading back to room to chill out with ipods etc, as we walked Laura and m,yself were in some sort of (no doubt daft) conversation when all i heard was '**** me' and seen Laura doing a spinny thing on one leg before falling to the ground, bloody hilarious, i thought i was going to pee myself to be quite (minging) but truthful lol!!!! Laura took it all in good spirits though when all the street started to laugh aswell as me having a chocking with laughter fit, she turned around when a guy started clapping a gave a very graceful bow-total class!!! This was then followed by me and Laura laughing hysterically in the street, especially since she saved the ice-cream she was munching at the time! She may have had a slightly sore hand but the cornetto was saved-hooray!!!! Nways

we had a great wee chilled out night. The following day we had a early start as we wanted to do a few things so we got organised, bags packed, checked out and left the bags at the reception. We went for brekkie at a brilliant looking Irish bar called the Shamrock, it was brilliant inside, done up with the walls covered with Scotland Flags, Ireland Flags, Celtic football team memorabilia, loads of brilliant stuff, plus they looked to have a fab menu which also included a Scottish corner-basically a page filled with Scotlands top dishes-it was great! This greatness was however put to shame when the customer service revieled itself to be awful, we seen the staff all fighting, Laura's eggs being brought out in a bowl for the bar staff to smell to confirm it was ok, my food being brought out 30mins before Laura's (as the egg was given a smelly look of disgust so obviousaly had to be re-made!), our drinks being wrong and the food being disgusting! It was so annoying as we were so excited by the place, ah well we made our feeling clear when walking out and moaning about it haha! Nways
The HoiAn MarketThe HoiAn MarketThe HoiAn Market

The market next to us, was brillaint! What sights you see there!
we continued the day by going to ATM, changing some money, and going to the mudbaths! They were so cool! You basically got on ur swimwear, had a mineral shower followed by 30 minutes in a mudbath, a mineral shower again, 50mins in a hot hot hot water bath (which was heart shaped-aw lol) then a swim in the pool! It was superb, although we were boiling, luckily it wasnt too hot a day so it was enjoyable but if it had been a hot day you would have been far too hot. The mudbath was so cool, we sat in a empty stone bath which had a pipe in it, the pipe then gushed out warm mud, weird, strange but cool! We covered ourselves in it, so much fun and i would well recommend it, it was a laugh!! 😊 That night we left Nha Trang by bus and headed to HoiAn, a long journey ahead, bring it on!!!!
HoiAn: Well our bus journey went quite well, we watched Anchor man on my ipod, listen to music, had a laugh daning in the seats whilst listening to ipods, read a little and slept a little too. Oh we also
Me and one of the girlsMe and one of the girlsMe and one of the girls

This is one fo the girls who sat with us whilst we got our beauty treatments, she was so nice!!
made a couple of stops for those needing the loo, including a beach stop-yip thats right, we had to pee on a beach-lovely!!! (but a must)! We arrived and went in search of a hotel which was recommended by Charlie, on route Laura thought she would be funny and say 'imagine if i fell with my backpack on, that be sore eh' and yip she was right-about 5minutes later down she went! It would have been hilarious normally but we were so nackered we gave a stupid smile to each other, got her up and carried on walking, thinking back on it now im in hysterics though!
HoiAn was a really nice little town, which we really enjoyed. It was picturesque! Our hotel was really nice although when we first went in to our room we had a present waiting for us, a lovely big cockroache in the bathroom, however this quickly disappeared-the lady showing us the room simply picked it up and got rid of it for us, very well done! Nways, during our time here we had a nice, very slow paced time. We visited the market, infact we went through it all the time as it was

right next to us, seen the Japanese bridge, and the museum. There was tailoring shops every where and cheap too so we ordered some trousers which we picked up the next day, really nice linen ones for only a fiver! All the people were so friendly too, we got asked if we would like a manicure etc done, this we jumped at as our hands, nails, feet were not looking their best so we said yes to the lady who then took us into a llittle room at the back of the market. The lady and her sister does all kinds of beauty treatments so we said we would like a manicure each, this then progressed on to a manicure, pedicure and eyebrow threading-they were persuasive sisters lol! But it was fabby! and very cheap again! Plus they were brilliant at the treatments, our hands, nails, feet and eyebrows looked great, and the threading didnt even hurt-superb! The 2 ladies were so nice, a few other girls sat with us whilst we got our treatments done, they were lovely, told us about what they done (worked at the markets) and about their lives, such nice girls, was great to have

spend a hour or 2 with them! We met many nice people during our stay there, one was a lovely older lady who took us on a boat ride down the lake which we stayed beside, it was lovely, so relaxing and calming and the woman was lovely, it was a great way to spend a half hour. Another was a younger lady who took us for a cooking class, Han, it was brilliant! We were taught how to make a couple of Vietnamese dishes-Veggie spring rolls, Veggie curry anf Vuggie county pancakes, it was great! We got to prepare and make them followed by eating them, even if i do say so myself they were well tasty! We stuffed ourselves with our own Vietnamese dishes and it was great! (and we never got any food poisoning incase you were thinking that!!!!) We spent a few days in HoiAn then moved on to Hue!
Hue: Well it was different ill give it that, infact maybe different isnt the word, boring may do it! It was basically a chill out few days for us as we never done alot, there wasnt much to do, there wasnt even a resturant! It all

became clear to us that it would be a quiet few days on our first night, we were starving after our 5hour bus journey so dumped our bags in our hotel (a really nice one although 5 floors up with a huge backpack can be a killer, but it had a big fan, tv, bathroom, and fridge!) and headed out to get some food, we didnt realise we were going on a trek and a mission! After walking arounf what seemed like the whole of Hue we gave up our search as we didnt see one resturant and were told bu a few locals that we asked that there wasnt any, so we headed back to the hotel to ask them, they informed us that it was a holiday as it was buddah's birthday therefore no resturants were open but they would dish us up something if we wanted so egg sannies were ordered and quickly ate! We were then brought out a plate of rice with peanuts over it to share, a lady who worked there had took pity on us and made extra of her dinner for us, so sweet! Unfortunatey it wasnt very nice but we tried to eat some and said our thanks! The morning we left we decided we should see something touristy so we went to the Riverfront to see it, it was really nice, we spent a couple of hours there before getting a cyclo back to hotel, it was strange, basically a man riding a bike with a big seat thing in front which you sit in, felt strange to be basically pushed around but a nice way to see the sights. We got our next bus to our last stop in Vietnam, Hanoi-tha capital!
Hanoi: Well what a bus journey, the bus was full, infact it was more than full-3 people had to sit in the aisle on plastic stools. The driver had obviously skipped his driving test as he couldnt-the bus kept screetching to a halt, almost crashed a few times, got stuck trying to turn a corner, and stalled! But it was a good laugh, we had fun on it just listening to ipods(Dolly Parton is now becoming one of my favourites), chatting away, watching another film on ipod, snoozing etc, the 14 hour journey went quite quick surprisingly! We decided to stay at the hostel the bus company

recommends, what a mistake! At first all was good, we were shown 2 rooms, we took one-on the top floor with air con, tv and a fridge and all for $8 a night so was good. We spoke to the recption staff for a while, there was one i really took a dislike to for some reason but apart from that it was fine. We were nackered from journey so we went for a nap, we woke up to find we were both still really hot, the air con wasnt working properly so we headed to reception to ask for either another room or someone to fix it, we got told someone would be up in 5mins to look at it, after waiting 30mins i called to ask were they where and was told they were on way, 15mins later a boy about 14 turned up, checked air con light was on and took a seat, he said it was working as light was on, we were not happy as it clearly wasnt as we were still very hot and sweaty so we got bags and went downstairs where we asked to be given another room, we got given the

answer no, we then had a 15minute discussion with the horrible little man i didnt like from before, which then turned in to a full blown arguement, to say the least i was super angry, we ended up walking out after paying $4 for the time we had already spent in room-he was a horrible, little, cheeky man who has no sense of customer care, no sense of how to talk to other people and no sense of general manners! We went in to the street to have a look at what Charlie recommended , whilst doing this we were approached by a lovely guy called Ian who had a room available at his hotel-bingo! He promised us a great time and that he would be super nice to us after our horrible ordeal with the other little dude so it was great! Our time there was great, he treated us very nicely, he had to come to our room a few times to fix our tv as MTV, HBO and Star Movies kept disappearing-he was a wee gem and very complimentary too, he kept asking about our boyfriends back home etc, bless him, he done a good job as

Laura Lou getting ready for our Saturday night out in Hanoi
we left very happy customers! 😊 Our time in Hanoi was good, we ended up randomly bumping in to 2girls we had met previously in Phnom Phen (Cambodia) and went to a few pubs with them followed by a dance in a club called Titanic-it was a boat, how cool! We had a few beers there followed by a boogie then back to another pub me and laura had previously been in called The Red Mask with a few peeps we had met at Titanic, it was a great night, what added to the hilarity of the night is when at the end of Titanic me and Laura got on the same moto, so there was me and Laura plus the driver-it was so funny, Laura took her shoes off as they were hitting the ground, and i grabbed on to her legs so she wouldnt fall off-it was brilliant and frew some attention from onlookers who could believe what they were seeing-brilliant! Nways the last day we were there we decided to go to the Museum of Ethnology, we decided to go on the local bus so we could get the real experience with the locals instead of getting

a moto or tuk tuk, it was brilliant, we were on a bus packed with local Vietnamese, and we actually made it to the correct place, with a little help from the bus ticket collector lol! We got off and headed for the museum via a small cafe where the lady spoke no English, our drawings or pineapples etc disnt exactly come in very useful as you couldnt tell what the hell we were drawing but we eventually ended up with 2 very nice fruit smoothies-wayhey! We continued on to the museum, we asked a lady if we were going in the right direction which she told us 'yes but you know its closed today right?' Erm no we didnt, it was again a stupid moment by Claire and Laura, (one if what was turning in to be hundreds lol) we consulted Charlie who confirm that yeah it was infact closed on Mondays-the day of course we decided to go-doh! So back we went only this time by taxi to our little area where we got organised, changed some money, got a sannie made up for the bus which would be leaving to take us to Laos, this time a 20 hour one-bring it on!!!!!
