Little Britain

This will be quick, as we're spending a few of our precious last $$$ on the internet in the hostel. The hostel's nice, it's the first 'Hostelling International' one that we've been in, and there are more facilities here than anywhere. They seem to want money for everything though!

Santa Monica is lovely, there's a nice old pier with a fun fair on it and the beach is really close to where we're staying. I couldn't resist the title I've used because there's loads of random British things here. There's a pub almost next door to where we're staying, some London shop thing opposite and a shop nearby that sells all the good chocolate from home. We haven't over indulged though - we're not away for that long! The prices in the pub are on par with at home too, $5 for a pint! (you probably have to tip with every round like here too though)

Yesterday we went into Hollywood. I got to compare my handprints with several celebs who's names have slipped my mind now I have time restraints. I'll put the pictures up at some point - we managed to get Monkey with Donald Duck's footprints, which is my particular favourite. Other than the Chinese theatre and the stars on the floor it was all a bit nothingy. Glad we're not staying around there because there's also far too many people around trying to get your money. Alongside Hollywood we visited Torrance, and have pictures from outside Buffy's house!

The weather has been great here for the past two days. We went to the beach today, and as I've heard that Oz is especially cold at the moment I'm glad that we got the chance.

We're flying out tomorrow night, and I can't wait to arrive somewhere new.

One more thing - we both had hair cuts the other day! They were free with a trainee, I just had a trim (this sort of trip doesn't lead to great hair condition) and Aaron had a proper cut. I'll post pictures when we get to Oz and it's free!

It sounded like you had a great time in the States, I hope Oz is just as good :-). I am intrested in seeing your hair cuts, although the fact that it was a trainee and free scares me a little. Its sooo cool that you sae Buffy's house too. Gem xxx

Buffy's house! Don't go there at night. Hope Australia proves as fun as the US was. Furthermore, I've finished my degree! Yaay! xD Take care.
