Hey everyone!

Its great hearing from everyone thanks for the messages and emails. This post wont have pictures bc we cant get to a computer that will let us plug in the cord but as soon as we do i will put up some pictures from Switzerland bc this place is amazing!!

I have to write really quickly about our time in Venice. We had a great and relaxing time. We roomed with 2 other girls, one from Newcastle England and one from New Jersey. We basically hung out with them the entire time. The gondola rides were way too expensive for us but we were fine with just roaming around the city getting lost in all the side streets. The way the city is laid out with all of the canals and bridges is just beautiful. Our roommates were tons of fun and we spent our last night with them hanging out in the piazza in front of our hostel just talking, drinking and enjoying the great weather.

So now the fun part. Switzerland is crazy. The train ride to Bern had some amazing scenery. We went through the mountains and past lakes. It made the train ride go by so quickly. We only spent one night in Bern but we hiked (well more like took a stroll) up to this garden that overlooked the entire city. It was a rose garden and everyone was laying out on the grass relaxing, there were 2 men playing the insturment you see in the Ricola commericals. I have no clue what its called. Bern seemed like a fun city to live in. Everyone was so nice and there is tons of shopping so you know I would love living there. Unlike in Rome where when you have to cross the road you are dodging cars and praying someone doesnt hit you, in Switzerland they will stop for you everytime and let you cross.

We then took a train into Interlaken and are staying in the Funny Farm hostel. First the hostel is great, it has a Guinness tent, 2 bars, a swimming pool with a rock climbing wall, and a club downstairs. Our room is big and our roommates once again are so much fun. We hung out with a guy from Orange County CA, a girl from Ottowa Canada, and a guy from Essex England. For me personally, it was my favorite night out so far on this trip. We have been really lucky with our roommate situation thus far on this trip and the people we have met so far have really been one of the main highlights on this trip for us.

So dad dont worry i did not go skydiving (yet) BUT Jenn and I did go Canyoning. What is canyoning you ask, well the brochure describes it as "jump into foaming pools, abseil waterfalls and slither down natural waterslides." We basically were dropped off on the side of the road and we rappelled 50 meters down into a canyon and from there we went down 2 ziplines between rocks, jumped off some pretty high cliffs and waterfalls and slide down rocks (natural waterslides). I cant even put into words how much fun it was. My heart was pounding the entire time and never slowed down until I had a beer in my hand 3 or so hours later. It was by far the craziest thing I have ever done. Our guides were these crazy guys from New Zealand who just loved to mess with us, but they were awesome and really made the experience that much better.

Today I think we are going to get some kind of floating device and go out onto the lake. Tommorrow we are off to Lucerne and then unfortunately we must leave Switzerland. I wish we had more time and I wish I had more money bc the amount of adventure sports they have here would keep me entertained for days.

Anyway i hope everyone is doing well. We miss everyone! As soon as a find a place to do so I will put up some pictures.
