Well it was with heavy hearts and heavier rucksacks that we left Tracey, Mark, Misty et al behind in Brisbane after 4 and a half months of 9-5 working and 5.30-01.30 drinking. Our livers sufficiently pickled and our backs sufficiently rested, we set about making our way from Brisbane to Rainbow Beach, a colossal 19 hous away on the Greyhound bus service that runs up the east coast. Rainbow was to be our departure base for our Fraser Island trip and we were really looking forward to it so as we looked back on our previous travel faux pas', we again decided to leave tings to the last minute and just turned up at the bus station and asked for a ticket to Rainbow to be told that the bus was full up !! Cue the usual panic and rush of phone calls but in the end we managed to get our trip put back a day without any cost to ourselves.

We decided to take the bus to Noosa instead that day, it was somewhere we had been hoping to go but to get to The Whitsunday Islands for Lee's birthday, we decided to miss out Noosa so it was good that managed to get there in the end.

Noosa is where the money goes in Queensland if it isn't in Brisbane basically. It's not a backpackers town to be honest but it does try its best to cater for them as so many decide to visit there. It carries it off pretty well too. All the preoperties for sale in the windows are over $2,000,000 and all the restaurants are top notch, but they hide away little cafe's and shops where those on a budget can happily shop without bankrupting themselves. It also has one of the nicest beaches that we have come across on our travels so far, a few photos of which are provided for your perusing pleasure !! We don't have a lot of photos of Noosa, for the reason that we were only there for a few hours in the evening and then a couple of hours in the morning before getting the bus to Rainbow Beach.

This is just a short blog to be honest as we were only there for a wee while, but Noosa was lovely, we would probabaly have stayed there a little longer but only for a day or two. We left Noosa and got the bus to Rainbow Beach at 12.30 in the afternoon and were due in at Rainbow Beach at 15.30 for our briefing before our Fraser Island trip. Blog to follow shortly.
