I forgot to mention that we didn't actually finish our tour on day 7. instead of driving back all the way to london through horrendous traffic caused by the london marathon we got off the bus at the oxford services (which isn't as close to oxford as you might think).
Our driver wouldn't come into oxford because of the traffic, which after being here for a few days is understandable- there is more buses than people in this town!
We then had to figure out how to get into town before 6 pm (we had a formal oxford dinner to attend with Chris - the first of the semester!)
So me being me i asked some randoms and eventually figured out that we had to catch the 280 bus into town. which we did. then told Chris to get his butt into town and get us.

Christians entrance was quite cliche i must say. came on his bicycle, not really riding it but standing on one pedal with satchel slung over his shoulder "why hello old chaps" it isn't really what he said but i expected something similar. he has a very british accent now when he is talking slowly. if he speeds up he goes back into a little german australian accent!! go us!

dinner was fantastic. the magdellan (pronounced mawdellen for some stupid british reason) college choir sang just after the offical party entered. i expected atleast the choir to be introduced but they just started singing which was quite a shock. we managed to control our laughter though.

Yesterday Chris gave us a tour of Oxford. Oxford is a fantastic little city, very scenic and peaceful. we walked around the different colleges and rivers etc. quite a scenic place, i think we will take some photos today after lunch with Chris. he is fairly busy but we have managed to catch up with him a fair bit.

Hi boys. typical weather from what I hear. The colours of the photos probably seem muted due to the lack of sunshine and nothing to do with the camera!!! Did you get to an ANZAC service with the poms who sent us to the wrong place andhave been grovelling ever since?? they seem to stuff us up in every battle we go to help them in!!!! All well here weather getting chillier. have had above April rainfall so hopefully that will continue. Enjoy and stay warm and safe. Love Marmie
