So, Koblenz is where the Rhein and the Mosel rivers meet, and there is this huge statue of like William I. The horse he is riding is super creepy.
I know, I know. It's been forever. But there for a while I really didn't have much to update about, then things just got busy, so I'll do my best.
Really I just hung around for a few weekends, not doing too much. Homework ect. And then Maria came. We'd been short an intern for a while so they sent Maria in from Oregon. And we started hanging out. First weekend we went to Koblenz. It is where the rivers Rhein and Mosel meet, and decided it would be a good place for a day trip. Doc, (Stephanie with the Ph... get it, doc??) Maria and I headed out to explore the day. We went on a boat trip where the commentary was in German, but got to see some beautiful countryside and cool monuments. Also had some great kebaps... yum.
Sunday was Easter, and Maria and I went with Isaac to Trier, to try and see the shroud that Jesus wore (it's housed in the Dom in Trier, but they never take it out... except we thought for Easter.) Well, we didn't find the shroud, but we did get to see lots of Trier and it was a beautiful

day to boot. After leaving there we hit up the Kusel castle, one that is close by but I hadn't made it to yet. It's pretty sweet, ruins of course but again the day was wonderful, and what better way to spend it than exploring a castle in Germany?!
work has been kinda hectic lately. A few new kids in the mix make the whole room crazy. Not to mention the fact that they are young! Not quite three. But there is something everyday that reminds me why I love hanging out with kids. I realized that this is the longest amount of time I have spent with one group of kids. 4 months, longer than a summer, so that is pretty cool, and I know that leaving them is going to be bitter sweet.
Last weekend Maria and I decided that no stay in Germany would be complete with out a trip to the capital, Berlin. So, we planned out a trip with the Eurail, booked a hostel and off we went. We walked around a ton on Saturday, saw a bunch of sites, so much history!! Got to see wall remains, checkpoint charlie, the brandenburg gate and reichstag,

wandering around we found this random garden with statues, and a giant thumbs up. i mean, who doesn't love it?
walked down Unter den Linden and it was all so great. Had the best chinese food, ice cream, and some delicious beer. Sunday we stuck around kinda late and hit up some more must see's like the TV tower and some churches. Had some train issues, with full trains, and then actually finding a seat only to be ushered out when a window shattered. (only the outside pane though). But good thing was they pushed us to first class, and we had a build in 45 min. layover in Frankfurt anyway, so we only had to run a little to catch it. (it was actually really close, like a 3 min. transfer!) We got some free drinks out of the deal so it really was alright. Got home at 10:30 and crashed for work the next day!
Have some sort of plan for every weekend before leaving, which is coming up fast. Amsterdam to see tulips, Austria, a weekend with Annette, hopefully a weekend around here to hang out wth people before they leave, and then the last weekend. Have been looking up info for jobs, but not much luck lately. not too much posted actually, so looks like I'll

What's shakin?
Glad to hear you've been keeping yourself busy... Brian and I have been kicking it around lately, and last night he even took me out to play "Robin Hood" and get free bread. It was a good time, and Kelli, Pastor Scott and I all had "dumpster bread" this morning for breakfast...it was pretty sweet and I laughed lots. Went to the earth day celebrations outside the union today and got a free T-shirt, Frisbee, and recycled mood pens. Good stuff. Wish you were here. We'll do Guinness when you get back....Fo schnitzel yo! (hahaha... I'm SUCH a loser!) Love you!

Berlin Kabob!
I'm very excited to see that you have posted a picture of the infamous Berlin Kabob, which I happen to think is a much more appropriate name for it than "TV tower."
