Karaoke Debut
Al's Karaoke Each year in Spring, Japanese people have 'Hanami Parties' (English translation = Cherry Blossom Parties). It's a real old traditional thing where everyone has picnics in some of the big parks under the cherry blossom trees, drinking and eating the day away. I was lucky enough to go to a party with one of my sister's English groups. It was pretty much all I could drink and eat which was great...oh, and the flowers were real nice too! Enjoy the pics Kylie!
Once daylight left us, we did what most of the other groups did, and headed to Karaoke. I had a blast but was way too sober to be singing! My sister has all the musical and creative talent in the family, so I think I should have left it to her. Regardless, I was a Westerner singing in a Japanese karaoke bar...a novelty to our Japanese hosts, so they still loved me!
