Cairns

so we stopped over in cairns a couple days before and after our cape tribualtion trip!
it is a very different city to anoy others we have been to. there are no high rise buildings and the city is right on the beach front.
They have an esplanade which was really nice. Along it they had bbq stations, exercise stations (which we obviously used everyday), a skate park, a lagoon which was cool.....we spent alot of time here.

after we got back from cape trip be stayed at one of georges realtives for 2 nights.....home made food again....yum!
he also leant us hs car....hehe...........so we headed into town yesterday to meet up with vicki as she was flying to auckland today! We are going to try and make it three countries and catch up with her in new zealand aswell!
We went to pizza hut and bought some pizzas and had a pizza picnic on one of cairns north beaches which was cool. we managed to dodge the rain showers which seem to be happening all to frequently up here!!

we head off to melourne tonight.....lying on friday 13th....must be mad! we are there for 9 days then its over to new zealand.....cant wait!

alkright me luvver - lovely to see some more photos -wont be long now and you'll be on the big bird again. Australia seems to have made your hair curly!!! hee hee. rain, rain go away, come again another day (but not in england)!
Steve says you should have taken an umbrella, he's got one in the back of his car! Despite the weather, it looks like you are having a good time, visiting interesting places (some which i recognise) and i bet you both can't wait til new zealand!! keep well!! love tracey and steve xxx
