Girls getaway to rest, relax and have fun! Nels, Amy, Lisa and I have just spent a wonderful weekend away at Lisa’s family’s brand new log cabin, in some tiny Welsh village, near St Davids (UK’s smallest city!). I’ve had such an expectancy for this weekend, and it was more then met. On Saturday we did a lovely long coastal walk, stopping at the little bays and beaches, skimming stones and having some unhurried DMC’s, while “aweing” at the beauty around us. That night while spending time with God and praying for each other, He arrived in a way that none of us had really experienced before. I have just been so amazed at how our huge and amazing God who created the world and has so much on His hands to worry about, would be concerned about each of our individual lives. Just like the story of the widow and her son, God is able to give us abundantly more then we could ever ask or imagine - we just have to expect and believe. We asked Him to meet with us, and that’s just what He did.

On Sunday we took a drive through little St David’s

on the way home, stopping for a wonderfully large home made diary ice cream! The weekend wouldn’t be the same if it was uneventful, so after stopping at the beach for a picnic lunch, when trying to close my car boot, we discovered that it was broken. Lisa was dispatched to charm some young surfer into fixing the boot for us - and all she found was some duct tape, then disappeared into his campervan for tea, leaving the rest of us to secure the boot and prevent the luggage from falling out… The rest of the journey was about this surfer / traveller’s life story! We love you Lis! Was a really lovely weekend of fellowship and relaxation - we even had OUMA along!
