Well I had to say G’bye to Rio de Janeiro today. That was sad. In 3 short days I fell in love with the city. Everything about it was awesome. Anyway, I spent the morning in the airport or on my plane to Foz do Iguazu. There is nothing like this place. I got off the plane and realized IMMEDIATELY that it was much warmer and more humid than Rio. In fact it was 44 degrees (about 112f) and about 80% humidity. My guide met me at the airport and took me directly to the Brazilian side of the falls. This trip has left me at a loss for words for everything I’m experiencing. Going to the falls almost seems—spiritual. It is so traquil and tumultuous all at the same time. I will let my pix describe it for me…and maybe once I absorb it all I can explain it. My guide is pretty cool too—except that he pointed out a gynormous group of spiders (a couple spiders but HUGE ones) once we were in a glass elevator. At the time I was freaked…not as much as I’d think I’d be though…but in hindsight it’s kinda funny. The falls are worth it.

After the stop at the falls, my guide and one of the most gorgeous Brazilians I have ever personally encountered (my driver) took me to a souvenir shop with a shop of just coffee and chocolate….it’s like they know ME! Lol. I made a B-line for the coffee. Ordered an espresso. YUM. Then took my espresso and went shopping. Didn’t get much, but some cool things to bring to some of you….I even got myself something. Woot! Well after about 30 minutes there my guide and hottie mcBrazilliant took me to my hotel and dropped me off. I checked in, went to my room and couldn’t get out of my clothes fast enough….NO get your head outta the gutter… I was all sweaty from the heat and the pool is right outside my hotel room door! The rest of the evening I was swimming, tanned for a bit before the sun went down, and had…YES…yet ANOTHER capaihina…yum!

Not much the rest of the night…just relaxed, talked to a couple friends via the internet and FINALLY the telephone. I got a phone card..yay! I had to get to bed early because my guide was coming at 7am to get me to take me to Argentina…..Enjoy the pix from the Brazil side of the falls…
