Hi folks
Well, Christchurch has a very English slant on it, with a tram and New Brighton Beach (which we did a 2 hour cycle to...y'ouch!). All in all, the most memorable part was that we ate the best and cheapest pizza in the world there! We met up with our Dunedin mates and then headed up to Picton for 1 night's stay before catching the ferry to Wellington.
Back in Wellington I went on the best Lord of the Rings tour. The tour was given by a guy who was an elf in the film (he is now on my 'to marry' list). I went to loads of places where the film was made, including the studios and workshops. Also drove past Peter Jackson's house (he'd left his living room light on - naughty!).
After leaving Wellington (semi-broken-hearted) we stayed at a bach in Hatepe, just outside Lake Taupo. It belongs to some family friends of Rachel's, and it was so nice to have our own space and live somewhere for free!
The girls did a sky dive and I decided I wanted to do one. So I booked and it rained...GRRR!!!! So we've travelled back to Auckland and I've booked to do one tomorrow afternoon here, so fingers crossed!
Well guys, off to Fiji the day after tomorrow (if I don't plummet to my death during my sky dive). So I'll catch up with you there!
Love Bex
