The Boys
We all got in early for this snap before the South Africa Match
It is raining!! Well what a day Tuesday was! An early start saw us at the Breakafast bar at around 7am. Our most popular taxi driver namely Sackville Grey arrived on schedule at 8am to whisk us off on our short journey to Warner Park.
Once we were dropped off we had to go through some pretty rigourous security to gain entrance into the ground. They even asked some guys to put their suntan lotion on them to prove it wasn't something else!
Most bought match programmes and some guys bought Official Merchandice from the ICC stand. We then headed to our vantage point which was the same place as we were for the Australia match nearly a week before. We dumped our rucksacks and watched both teams do their warm up routines. The bar opened at 9am so we felt it was only right to get into the party spirit and taste some of the local lager which is called Carib.
South Africa won the toss and much to the disappointment of the boys they decided to bowl.......We had visions that we would be back in the hotel by 11.30 am if Scotland batted the way they did against
Ravi Drinking Beer
Ravi successfully drinks beer from his recorder the Ozzies. How wrong we were. The team batted exceptionaly well against a fearsome South African bowling attack with Pollock and Ntini bowling very quick delivery's which were shown on the screen in excess of 80mph.
Scotland managed a very respectable 186 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and batted out their 50 overs. All the boys had a marvellous time singing and dancing and every time a four was hit they all did the darts tune which sounded briliant....Hopefully many of you will know the tune I am on about!
Unfortunately Scotland's bowlers did not play well and South Africa's batsmen hammered them all over the ground! They reached their total in only 23.2 overs.....Our best laugh of the day was when we had a short stop due to rain and the South Africans and our fans all joined together in a massive conga.Ravi even managed to lose his flipflops and could not find them so he had to get back to the hotel in his bare feet. (see Picture) He then went to the wee shop next to our hotel and proceeded to buy a pair of size 6 flipflops to fit his size 11 feet!!!
Things are heating up
The boys are in full flow belting out one of their many tunes As he came round to the pool he was asked as to why he had purchased them his reply was "they were the only pair left"........ The boys laughed out loud for ages after that!
We met for dinner at 7.30pm and yet again our resident Gordon Ramsey done us proud. We then headed down to the beach where we ended up into Ziggy's, the only really busy bar.The boys had a marvellous time mixing with everyone especially the South African Fans who looked as they had went to Ziggy's from the match,an early night for them!We all had an excellent night and we will hopefully look forward to one more good night out after we beat Holland!!
A final footnote...........Jacko our resident Paparazzi photographer unearthed his small camera in Ziggy's last night. He had a puzzled expression on his face and when asked what was wrong he admits that his camera did not have a battery in it!!!!!!!! As you can imagine he got ripped apart for that!!
To be continued..........

About Time
Thought you had all fallen off the face of the earth! What time do you call this to update the blog. It's nearly time for me to go home after another boring day at the office. To bad we got beat but glad you're still enjoying yourselves. Hope we get a win against Holland. See you all real soon. XXXXXXX
