I got the over nite train form Zurich and arrived bout lunch in Budepest.
Tried 1 hostel but it was full but another in Pest was all good.
I got sorted then headed over the bridge to Buda and checked out a cave church in the Mt ,in natzi time they had to hide em. Then i climed the Mt to a monument and some big statues, top view of the city.
Down past the castle, along the river, pics of parliment on opposite bank then back to Pest via
the 1st bridge built in Budapest, now 1 of about 10.
Then went to a huge indoor market and got some salami and veg and cooked a feed at the hostel.
Day 2: 1st up i headed over to Buda and climbed castle hill, checked out¨the castle and palaces then back over to Pest to see the parliment building. But it was all fenced of and guarded due to previous rioting. Then St Stephens Bazilica and the history museum, free entry gotta luv it.
In the arvie to celebrate a patch of blue sky i had a beer and took some pics on a nice bridge.
That nite i
took the tram along the river to an Is in the river, where the movie munich was filmed and got some top nite city pics. Then a feed, bevies and bed.
Day 3: Stayin on Pest with a early start and got the 1st underground metroline built in europe out to sy.... baths.
Whow ee, this place was tops. In the center big outdoor pools with fountains that massage ya back. Inside there was heaps of heated baths ranging from 25degC to 40 degC, peppiment smelling steam roomsa nd the saunas. Huge wooden rooms at about 90 deg C, stay in for about 15 20 mins then dive into -16 degC pool. Do it a few times and ya spaced out and chilled as.
After 4 hrs i left and went to the house of terror a museum dedicated to the hungarian victoms of the natzis and soviots.
Next a bus to Prague.
Oh yer 1 side of the river is Buda and the other is Pest, Thus Budapest.

Oz Az, I am jealous
Dude, that indoor market rocks! Scariest thing I remember from the baths - the very hairy, very big men... The city walks are also good fun, and the citadel and salt caves. Hope you're well xxxx
