Finally left the big cities and headed out into the beautiful beautiful countryside of the North Island. Have clocked up some miles and crammed in an almighty amount in 1.5 weeks. Fell in love with Northland - drove the car on 90 mile beach, sandboarded down some massive dunes in Opononi, dug our own baths on Hot Water Beach, swam in some rather large waves in Cathedral Cove and yesterday scared the wits out of both of us by black water rafting at the Waitomo glow worm caves(= caving in a wet suit with a rubber tube as a life jacket).
