Futbol field view
We watched the end of the game from the corner, on the visitor's side. We were being lazy this day...going from restaurant to store up this gradual slope of a hill that was jam packed with resto-bars....it was a beautiful sunny day...well we kept going until we hit the top of the hill and all of a sudden we heard yelling and shouting and chanting. We both started walking faster because we realized that we were about to miss our one S. American moment to see S. American futbol being played. We made it to the stadium...well at least one entrance...and it was free admission...well we thought...and the entry that we took in took us to the visitors section which was standing room only place with a couple steps of bleachers, a grill man cooking up chorizo, and a bunch of angry visiting fans from San Juan. We managed to catch the last 10-15 minutes of the game and watched as the crowd became more antagonized by each other. Mendoza became louder and celebratory as San Juan became loud and unruly and yelling and flipping Mendoza off. When the game finally ended a big (and I mean BIG) sheet or piece of cloth game over the Mendoza bleachers and began to cover all the fans.

While continuing to walk up this street, we heard/felt cheering in the distance... I think it was a sponsor logo on it. There was wrath and vulgarities shared between teams as the SWAT team escorted out the visitors. All of sudden as we are mesmerized by all of this I feel the SWAT team right behind me with their big guns and shields and mean ole faces....that’s when a normal person would walk...but I just tried to take a picture.
...Did I mention that I wished we had made it up that hill a little faster and skipped snacks and beers and stores, so that we could have seen more of the game?
