Welcome to my 'blog' or online diary (which sounds less abrasive to my ears). I've been convinced by Tom that this will be an easier way to let everyone know what I'm up to whilst in India rather than those group emails. It means that when you do get an email from me over the next few months you should be honoured indeed as it will be personalised, for you alone. If I understand it correctly you can subscribe to this page and it'll email you when ever I post an entry so there will never be an excuse for missing one!
I'm currently still in Leeds, flying out a week tomorrow, and I'm a mass of conflicting emotions. I go from excited to terrified to sad to leave to nervous to impatient to convinced that it could not have really come round already...all at an alarming speed! What does remain constant is the knowledge that with the best will in the world I'm sure I won't be able to fit everything in that one small bag and visions of having to pay excess baggage....on the way out! A thought topped of with the image of the ribbing I would receive from Lucy and Saff for the rest of my life.
As I'm still in Leeds I won't write much more yet but I will encourage you to email me with what is happening in your own lives whilst I'm away. I'd love to know what you're all doing (aside from missing me of course).
I hope you're eagerly anticipating my next entry which will be from somewhere rather more exotic and exciting then my back room, love Claire
