We have a few minutes this morning so are going to try and catch up on a couple entries.

Leaving Sydney we decided to rent a car a head down the costal drive towards Melbourne. Left side of the road was pretty weird to start (more than a few times found myself pulling out on to the wrong side of the road - good thing having other cars to follow!). First day of the drive we went through a park just south of Sydney and along a coastal drive and through a bridge that hangs over the side of the ocean. Besides the whole wrong side of the road thing only other note for me on the driving is how insanely bendy all the roads are! Overnight in Jervis Bay at a dingy joint called the Husky Pub. Not worth the money there! but pretty cool beaches etc.

Next morning set out down the coast a bit further towards a place called Batemans Bay then up through the mountains to Canberra. Stopped off at a roadside fruit stand just outside Ulladulla and had the best plums and nectarines either of us has ever tasted. Just south of Ulladulla went found our way out to Pebbly Beach. Best place I've ever seen. Amazing beach / shells / etc. And a 'wild' kangaroo! When we got there he was at the parking spots in the campsite licking some rocks. Very relaxed fellow. Has no problem if you want to pet him etc but would really rather if you had something for him to eat. Also got some great photos / video of Pammy running away from it when it turns to sniff her! Ferocious man-eating kangaroos!!

Road up to Canberra was pretty uneventful but got caught in a thunderstorm once we were there and walking around the city in the evening. Think J&J are mostly right about Canberra. Not very exciting - but we did see some fire-spinning / drum beating hippies.

Pretty sure the man eating ones are extinct but better to play it safe! This little guy uses his tail as a 5th leg to walk. Never would have guessed...
