Sydney Harbour
Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Circular Quay is tucked just around behind the opera house. After 26 painful hours on the plane we arrived in Sydney on Saturday morning. At the airport we attempted to figure out the aussie pay phones (no dice) but luckily Roger spotted and rescued us after 4 failed calls. From the airport on the train to Circular Quay then out on the ferry to Mosman. Mosman is a suburb of Sydney across the harbour so on the way we go right past the harbour bridge and the opera house. Found the opera house quite surprising. I had always thought it was quite large and very white. Neither are true.
Today we went to the beach out at Manley. Bought some shorts and a hat for Pam. Also got bombed by a Seagull.. Pam says there's a story here becuase aussie seagulls are a creepy smaller version of what we have in Canada. Roger and I were discussing how 'our' seagulls could eat these ones whole without chewing. Apparently they overheard and took exception.
Also got some icecream etc... beach stuff. Pam wants me to elaborate on the beach but that's why we have pictures... hehe Among other random stuff we saw a very hairy guy sleepwalking in his boxers
Rogers flat
Roger and Pam and dress shoes on the way back to the flat from the bus stand tonight.
And Roger is my cousin (Canadian cousin who lives in Sydney currently).
From here probably 2 more days in Sydney then renting a car to drive along the coast down to Melbourne. Also booked flights today.. 17 Feb from Melbourne to Christchurch in NZ and then on the 10 Mar from Auckland (NZ) back over to Brisbane.
All for now will put more stuff up another time. Hopefully before we leave Sydney.
