So after a couple of days in Christchurch relaxing at a nice hostel called the Old Countryhouse we are back on the road.
We are going to be spending the best part of a month travelling from Christchurch to Auckland. Our route will take us down through Mount Cook National Park, through Queenstown, across to Milford Sound and then up the West Coast. We are crossing to the North Island on the ferry on the 27th, and heading up through Tongariro, Rotorua and the Bay of Islands before descending on Auckland.
Our van was a bit small in Oz, so in true Clare & Dan Flashpacker style we have upgraded. Our new van is pictured.
We can now swing two cats at once.
Also included is a shot of the Wizard of Christchurch. This geezer appears in a car which is basically 2 VW Beetle Fronts stuck together! He drives into Cathedral Square in the City Centre at Midday, and preaches his eccentricities to the masses for over an hour. It is really funny. Basically women, religion and the Greeks are to blame for all of the problems in the modern world!
I concur.

Good on yer cobber now you are a real hornsby road runner!. Mum is horrified, says you are not big enough for such a powerfull machine. Looks like one just sold off to a large town near Leeds!!. Which side of the road should you drive on in NZ?. Remember if they cannot see your mirrors they are pretty close so don't worry about them. Don't forget it might be a petrol.( PS make sure you don't refuel the dunny) Prevented from further comment's. Dad G
