ALRIGHT I FINALLY HAVE SOME TIME TO SHARE WHATS UP WITH CUERNAVACA!!!!

I´ve already started taking salsa lessons with Regina and some other girls that go to UNITAR. The teacher, Rodrigo and Aldo, are very cool. WE met Rodrigo before we knew he was an actual salsa dancer. Tonight is my second lesson and let me tell u i´ve been practicing. Tomorrow we will all go to Mambo Cafe and salsa the night away or at least try lol.

School is interesting. It is very different because i spend 2 hours conversing in a garden 1 hour learning spanish idioms and another 3 hours studying grammer (BORINGG). It is not difficult. But i do find it hard to recall my conjugations when I am conversing with anyone. My mexican friends help me out but they typically know what I am trying to say lol. There is so much to do here. This week I will be going horseback riding lol (i know MOM so not me) and next week a group of us will be going to a professional soccer game (Keith i promise to buy you a jersey).

Prof. Akers, You were right about the program it is amazing and I am considering if the oppt. is available coming back for my study abroad.

My "mother" is very helpful with getting me to speak spanish. We have lots of conversation about all kinds of things. Regina and I gave her a cookbook of southern cusiine. And she just could not believe that we used garlic liek that. Yesterday for lunch during our siesta she made us spaghetti and meatballs. She had never ever heard of using meatballs lol. It tasted very good but i am not surprised because she is a chef!!

Before i came here i was slightly concerned about you know people accepting me because i was black but here race is not a thing. It is very interesting. Regina and I had a long conversation with our "mom" about race and everythign and she didn´t even know that we referred to ourselves as black.

I miss home so bad and i miss everyone there but ha sorry i´m going to stay the whole time lol. The weather is great, I feel great, the people are great......nothing more to be said.

A few things to make note of¨
1. i have no laptop charger so pictures may be sparce
2. my phone recieves calls but does not make them
3. you can send me mail but it could take a while
4. shopping here is amazing (fun fact)

The house where we live is very nice, one thing i noticed in general is there is no airconditions. lol and people DO NOT USE THEM IN THERE CARS! NEVER EVER NEVER EVER! So weird to me. The windows are always done in the cars.

I hope this gives everybody a better idea of what i ma doing

i am not working out though, and it makes me sad but the food here is very fresh so it should not be to bad.

Mis amigos mexicanos esperan por me so we can go to the house and sit by the pool. YES SIT BY THE POOL IN JAN.!!! BE JEALOUS

till tomorrow...dont miss me much

hasta luego,
megan

p.s. megan is pronounced the same way in spanish. IT IS GREAT
