Ohhh boy...

Not a good day!

It began with all of the best intentions. We were supposed to take a bus back up to the eastern slope then begin a bike decent westward towards the sacred valey.

Well, I´m not sure what happend, perhaps some bad logical in my decision making, but I some how got seperated from my group and ended up in paultambo (sp?) alone.

I made the assumption that the group would arrive in the same city as I, but after a two our wait I realized things had gone bad.
I suspected the team took an alternate route back to cusco, thus by passing me.

I spoke to some of the locals and determined that the buses going to cusco (which we were heading) only leave at 2 and 8 pm. At a quarter to 2 I made the decision to leave several voice messages on the tour leaders cellphone Voice mail, and a message at the hotel informing them of my arrival 3 hours later.

I arrived in good health thanks to the kindest man on earth Daniel of Cusco. (he handed out fruits to the impoverished children living in the mountains east of cusco)
He only wanted 15 soles (5 USD) for the grueling 3.5 hour mountain drive, I tiped him 35 extra soles, so he could improve his math skills.

Im currently hidding out in the internet cafe as I fear I will have many angry group mates on thier return to the hotel.....never mind my wife.

Tomorow we leave for white water rafting.... something about class 5 rapids.... not sure if thats really easy or really hard... I´ll let you know.
