Here is a basic rundown of whats the goings-on. We (Judd, Dhiresh, Joel and myself) stayed back this weekend to hang around London: we went up the London Eye and spent a few hours in the Tate Modern. We were also going to check out Westminster Abbey, but that cost £8, so we scratched that. St. Paul's Cathedral was pretty cool as well, but we didn't get much time in there. The Tate, despite being really really messed up and having a lot of crazy crap for art, was pretty sweet since it was so different (and free), and because it was so strange to see piles of bricks called art, or a glass of water on a shelf high on a wall called "An Oak Tree," with a small interview with the 'artist' about how it wasn't an oak tree until he put the water in the glass, and it took him a long time to figure out that he could do it. Really messed up, and really funny. I bought a poster of the Underground tube map, but it had all the stops on it replaced with famous people's names, like a line for famous artists, for kings, for engineers, one for modern rock artists, etc. Everything else is the same about it, except the station names, like it would have the warnings about construction in the corner like "when transferring from Planets to Artists lines, please make sure to get off at Picasso, transfer to Elton John and then continue to Neptune for your journey" or something like that

Judd now hates me for at least somewhat liking modern art, for encouraging them.

London is really really hot right now, like highs in the 90s, and still in the mid 80s at night, which sucks since we have no AC. We all sit around the even hotter kitchen continually eating food, playing Euchre, Gin, Phase 10 (or Phase 3000) and Cribaigge complaining about the heat and people who don't clean their dishes.

We also have been trying to work out what to do with ourselves for the next few weekends. It has pretty much been worked out that we are going to Wales this weeked. But the other weekends we have the following options: July 1-3 there is the Live8 concert (Elton John, Paul McCartney, Killers, Keane, some other groups, and Pink Floyd have gotten back together for this concert), and we are moving to different dorms that weekend for some reason, so we pretty much have to stay for that (the concert is free, but you need tickets which have easily been 'sold out'); on July 8-10 we were going to go to Dublin, but now we are debating whether or not we should stay back and go see Queen, who got back together with the lead singer of Bad Company, in concert. That weekend we can also see REM and Sigur Ros in concert as well, but I would feel bad missing Ireland and Dublin. The next week we are getting done with classes on Tuesday for the term, and we are going to Edinbugh for the British Open (tickets were only £15!) at St. Andrews and hanging around Scotland for 3 days (minus 1 for the golf tournament), so that is also set in stone. So I need your help, if you are reading this: what is your choice - Ireland or Queen?
