Very much in the a.m. tomorrow, we shall be departing for km88, the departure point for the Inca Trail. Which will mean I´ll not be blogging for a few days. Probably won´t have very much to say for myself when I get back either - it was amazing, trek quite hard but good, cold at night, definitely recommend it, that sort of thing. I´ve big-time been looking forward to this. I´ve seen the list of names of people in our group. All English-speaking (if you can say that about Americans), mostly girls I think, about a dozen of us. I´ve bought half a porter (I specifically requested the top half but they looked blankly at me) so I can just flounce around with my water bottle and instant camera (OK, I admit it, I lost my camera a couple of days ago, too ashamed and gutted to the core to say so before). Should be able to borrow some digital pics from others, but just enter "Machu Pichu" (spelling it corretly) on google and you´ll see everything I will.

Beamish red or black? i think we should be told!
Very amusing, it's good to know that you're not dead and that you're having an interesting time. Of course it pales in comparison to life here in the North! It's an interesting idea, this blogging thing. What's even more interesting (no offence) is that all sorts of other long lost people are posting comments to you! Funny how it takes you travelling to the other side of the world to bring people together!! Well, i guess you'll only read this when you get back from your trek, so hope you had a good time....i'm jealous! Richard
