Takeoff!
Just 4 more days until we hit the airport on the big trip (or the "Bug Trup" for you kiwis out there).
The Fiji coup doesn't seem to be doing much and sounds kinda peaceful. I'm getting regular updates from the guy next to me at work who used to live in Fiji and has a lot of mates over there. It's not a big deal really. Also, they're filming Survivor Fiji there at the moment...the yanks are panic merchants and I'm sure the lawyers would be pulling them out and suing everybody if there was the chance of danger 😊
The house is now in a state of preparedness for our departure...Fort Hambo is now commissioned, the alarm system is fully operational, all the windows have working locks, the fences have all been replaced with full-height (6'4") boards and the new front fence is in with its remote control sliding gate...once we lock this baby up any felons would have to have something seriously wrong with them to not go for the neighbouring houses instead 😄. We just need the "no junk mail" sticker now.
