ParadeParadeParade

This was another place that I got trigger happy way too many pics to show you guys.
So all this uploading took me almost 5 hours, best believe my ass is sore but I had to keep you guys up to date with this shit.

So I got to Quito yesterday, I´m finally in South America and moving quick. I´ll spending xmas and new years here ofcourse. Well the first thing I did when I first got here was call my mom and Dan to let them know I was ok.

I´ve been dizzy and shit from the altitude sickness which should wear off by tomorrow, it usually takes 2 days. Its also really cold here, and its weird cuz I just came from a hot ass Panama.

Fact: Quito celebrates the founding of their city the first week of december. A week long party.

I got here on the very last day of the festival. I´m currently staying at a hostel in the Red Light district, I have yet to see hookers on the windows here. I´m staying at place called Hostal Vamara which is right in the heart of this mayhem and charges $5 a night. And was a few steps away from the party.

Last night at 8pm me and
Quitos finest.Quitos finest.Quitos finest.

There would be hundreds of girls dancing from every school in the city. All shaking it to the same cumbia beat.
the roommates watched the parade, with weird looking floats that we couldnt make out what they were made out of and lots of girls and old ladies dancing. All the while people screaming Que Viva Quito. We were celebrating 400 and something years of history. It was cool, the dollar food from the vendors was really good.

I will be here for a few days before leaving down to Guayaquil in search of a family I never met. I will try to visit middle earth tomorrow.
Till then no more stories for a few days, I cant afford .50 an hour for internet.

Ciao.

I wasnt sure what was on this but it looked good at the time. It turned out to be plantain, potato, and sausage with mayo and ketchup. Dont knock it till you try it.

had fun
i had fun reading all 5 of your stories today. sucks about the whole bike thing but i was absolutely laughing my ass off about the belgian with the swiss cheese smile (which of course led to my mom complaining about how everyone knows something or other that marcy's doing on her trip but her). nothing much going on around here. your dad and i been sick for over a week now (blame it on big 12). i been going to the movies alot lately, dragging krusty or mario or whomever to see borat (which was absolutely hilarious, thnx nerd), casino royale, the departed and at least two other movies. that and the winter meetings (baseball talk, marcy) are keeping myself, the old craig and the baby craig busy talking baseball. i miss you stupid, if at least to talk shit. glad to hear youre having fun.
