very relaxing!!
Travelled from Hervey Bay to Airlie Beach via 1 night in a crappy place called Rockhampton. This place exists purely as the Beef Capital of Australia and I ate in KFC, oh well!! Is a really strange place where everyone including the women seem to say Fuckin an aweful lot, even made me feel uncomfortable! Was a little bored in the afternoon waiting for my bus to Airlie so I ended up test driving 4x4 vehicles and car garages were all I could find. Was glad to get back on the bus and out of Rockhampton.

6 hours from Hervey to Rocky and another 6 hours from Rocky to Airlie Beach, bus was empty so spread myself out over 3 seatsand the aisle for the entire journey, which meant could get some sleep for the overnight drive. Arrived in Airlie Beach at 6am and it seemed like a really cool place, well it had a McDonalds and a Subway so got my thumbs up straight away! Had an amazing night out with Susan and her gang on the friday night out, loads of cheap beer, bit of crazy dancing, table dancing and many many shots. Even went for a 4am

Great bunch!!
swim in the lagoon which was cool.

Saturday we started our Whitsundays cruise aboard the Solway Lass, the tallest Tail Sailing ship in the islands. No such luck like the Fraser trip, only 3 single girls, granted they were Swedish but not to my tastes. First night, we left Airlie under a blanket of stars, I tried to show off by pointing out a few constallations, I think people knew I was full of shit! A late dinner, a few beers to get to know people and it was to bed for a fun filled day the next day...

Woke up and it was pissing it down, which was a real shame as this day we did our largest sail, so the water was rough and the rain made the whole thing miserable. To make it worse, we stopped at Whitehaven beach. This is the worlds 3rd best beach and it is great but I was so gutted about the weather and the fact that my photos were not as they should have been. Still made the most of it, put on my stinger suit and hit the beach. Was chasing 2 3 foot long sand sharks around, trying to get a photo but they are way to quick and the thought of getting eaten didn't appeal to me. They also had tons of sting rays which through my new snorkelling equipment, looked pretty good. Yes I am a pro now after the pacific islands.

Next day, woke up with reports that today would be the same as the first day, high wind and rain. It wasn't thank god! It was boiling and was a brilliant day. We did 2 more snorkel trips over the reefs and saw so many fish it was untrue. Check out the videos and photos. In the evening we were jumping of the boat and using the rope swing which was brilliant fun too. A few more beers, some cards and music and everyone was so tired all asleep by like midnight.

We did a 2km nature hike on the final day, after a little footie on the beach. Saw loads of huge lizards and little ones too. On the way back we saw some turtles which we really cute, massive but very sweet and we were even lucky enough to see a dolphin just swimming along minding its own business,
