We started our Great Ocean road trip at 6am in the morning outside Base hostel with Adventure tours. We got on the bus and promptly fell alseep for a few hours until we stopped for breakfast. The first day was quite a lot of driving until we reached the start of the road and our first photo stop. We then stopped at a famous surfing beach (Bells beach) but it was so cold with the wind that we all just got straight back into the bus and set off again. We then got our first sight of Koalas at a campground. They don't do much and sleep about 20 hours a day.

There were 3 Irish girls sat in front of us and we were chatting to them which helped the time go quicker on the bus. We arrived at the temperate rainforest of Otway National park and went for a 25 metre high tree top walk through Loch Ard Gorge before getting back on the bus to the Twelve Apostles for a sunset, unfortunatly there was no sun because of the clouds! We had a BBQ for dinner before heading to the local pub.

We got up and

drove along the remaining part of the road, visiting London bridge and the Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands. After, we headed north to the Grampians National Park where we went for a walk through burnt out trees for a good look out over the park. That night we stayed in some really nice accomodation in the heart of the Grampians where we saw Kangaroos on the drive to it. After dinner I went for a walk with Tracey and Sinead to look for Kangaroos at dusk, we saw some but it was too dark to get pictures so we just ended up messing around and immitating the kangaroos.

The next morning we spent at MacKenzie Falls before having lunch and climbing up Hollow Mountain which was really good, getting a chance to do some scrambling up the rocks! That afternoon saw a five and a half hour drive to Adelaide, broken up with a stop at a wildlife park where we saw White Western Grey Kangaroos. We stayed 2 nights in Adelaide spending a day at the beach, it was really hot over 30 degrees but raining!
