My Trip

My mom helps me with typing my stories.

I just don’t know how this whole idea started about traveling but I am excited.

I told my class we were going to Thailand and they said “cool”. I showed the class on the map and we talked about it. My mom came and told the class where we were going to take a train to Chiang Mai.

After that day we went and packed. We packed clothes and some games. Video games and music and Polly Pocket stuff. Because we would sit on the plane for 18 hours and if we didn’t we would just sit and sleep and sit and sleep.

The next day I went to my friend’s house named Jamie and we had a sleep over and then we were ready to get on the plane. But it snowed a lot and we had to wait to get on the ferry. When we finally got on the plane it took 18 hours and when it took off my brother and I were already asleep.

After we woke up we were really like “whoa” we are in the air!” After that we

sorta just hung out and played our games and then we had breakfast and got ready and brushed our teeth in the bathrooms.

When we went through t he clouds when we landed we were between the dragon world and the earth and miles thought he saw a cloud fairy and castle. When we got out of the clouds we flew above Taipei for 15 minutes or so and we finally got down and landed. We got all our stuff and Wendy came and picked us up.

We drove to get to Wendy’s house and when we got there we went to bed and now we are in Taipei.

It is very dry and warm and has little markets and lots of temples. It has the 101 tower, the biggest tower in the world and we went into it for three hours and went to a bookstore.

A lot of people drive scooters here and the schools are very small and built in the buildings, not like the schools in Nanaimo.

Wendy has a little baby named Nen and he is 15 months old. He is very cute and loves hugging people and loves throwing

things around.

Today in the morning we went for a nature walk and we saw a big huge cricket and big spiders. It is a little dirty here but it is very nice and pretty. From Wendy’s window we can see a temple. Wendy lives in the mountains and the farms here are really different. They have lots and lots of greens and they don’t really grow any pumpkins here and we can buy really yummy squash soup.

The food is different because it doesn’t have a lot of flavor and at McDonald’s the use squashed rice for buns!

My brother was surprised that the chicken tastes different, like real chicken, not like smooshy chicken at home. The ketchup tastes like real tomatoes.

The mall is not flat it is built like an apartment. The malls aren’t very high, just tall.
We can’t drink the water here because it has bad things in it and we can’t pet the dogs ‘cause if they bite us we’ll get a bad disease.

Today we saw puppies and they were so cute, but we couldn’t touch them, but they followed us on our nature walk. Miles was scaring

them and they kept hiding under the fence.

It is very green here.

I will tell you more again later.
Bye

Cool!
That is a cool story. Maybe I would like to try the McDonald's there. Thanks for the picture of the tower. I like how tall it is and the shape of it. My dad would not like to see that spider. I like Wayne's vest. Hope you have a good trip. Say hi to Miles for me. Emily says hi and she likes your skirt. The baby Nen is really cute too!
