at the copa, copacobana... any more words to the song ange and i would be very grateful.. as would our audience im sure, busking with a ukelalea and coconut boobs is one thing- without all the words is like, a joke.
As was the most of our tour from foz iguazu all the way down to rio..here we go- this ones for you turbo.
Sad to leave Margs and her ever burtsing energy for tours of the falls,we turned against our hostel and decided to make our own way to brazil, barring there rip off price of bus tickets. mmhhmm. learning that in some situations it is better to listen to those who know best, we were out of pocket a mere $80pesos, and on an even longer bus journey to rio. But hey we were stood in brazil while learning all of this so it was quasi ok.
The bus was one which we originally forfeited our food money to contribute to making the trip 3hours shorter- shocked, we still had no food but were on the bus for an extra 6hours (as someone pointed out to us, theres only one way in..). It was filled with a man who
Ange and I
we showed em all how cool melbourne is had lived in england for three years and tried to talk to us, however we told him his time abroad was wasted as his english was rubbish, and tried to converse in portugese instead. There was a lady who had a small dog for warmth, and a woman with no eye, nor mouth who i feared was going to attack me every time i kicked my seat into recline.
Finally arriving in rio, we were ushered off the bus and told to hide everything we had of value and jump straight into a cab. Welcome to paradise!! At this point it was hard not to wonder why on earth we´´d actually come here..
Trying to find my hostel was another adventure, which was bandwagoned by a crazy brazilian stoner ´´two in the morning, i smoke two in the night´´, who was so very confused as to why we hadn´´t bought any weed with us from australia. bright country...
On the verge of tears and hating being a backpacker (wheelie packs ARE the future), i looked into a bar and saw matt who i´d met the first night i arrived in argentina. So happy to see a familiar face, i went
John and I
Loving the Sunshine with him and his two mates, cohen and john, to another hostel.
Here i had, honestly the best week of my life. Rio,is everything i expected, plus so much more. The bit more was that it topped the list of most beautiful cities in the world, the awesome mountains, and little beach coves prove that it so spectacular to anyone who visits it- all with a giant jesus stautue to watch over it.. with no eyeballs.
After ange postponed her tour (loves it), the party really began. Or should i say the ability to pose in every god given way, on any god given thing. Baby jesus loved it..
Went to a favella funk party, and to anyone who visits rio this is a must. Its a bunch of brazlian, waist up naked men, gyrating there sweat covered bodies on you until some security guard actually pulls you out and rescues you from a sausage factory like no other.. It´´s all about the experience, and the ability to really shake it like its never been shook before, oh and drink 62c beer.
We also took a boat trip out to an island ('´, and drank as many caiprinihas and ate
as much meat as possible. All this while ange continually slipped of the side of the boat, and we danced on the plank, over the ocean. Good times..
On a deeper note (me, never?) i took a favella tour of the largest in latin america, here there are 600,000 people living on top of one another and sharing two health care offices. It was a moving tour, not to mention an eye opening experience to how the rest of the world live. I did however, decided that im no longer just kidding about adopting a black baby, and i will spend at least a year of my life voluntering out here in a childcare centre. Who said travel is all easy?
However, with no really bad stories to tell (apart from leaving my wallet in an internet cafe in haste to get to a kilograma, and having $50rias stolen-bless them for leaving the visa card tho!!) i must tell you all.. my future lies in rio. With the poko pano high, and the bodies the best in the world, the challenge not to pick up a transvestite is one for all (this actually happened to a guy in our hostel,
On the top
I am in love with.. rio who, u guessed it hasnt lived it down), and ipanema beach number 9, with the most beautiful people in the world.
Saying goobye to jack was hard- yes jack j was in fact staying in mellow and is currently surfing up the coast of brazil, he was however left henry and henrietta behind.
Sad to leave rio, chuffed to have the memories, im moving on down the coast to a little island called florinopiliois.

Turboslut
The 'loser' photo of us is HOT! And by hot, I mean LOSER ALERT!!! But yes, you did well turboslut, and I liked that you said you were in Rio with the most beautiful people in the world - I'll confess, I am pretty hot. Hope you're still having an amazing time, just got your email, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous that you're gonna be back in Rio for New Years!!! I actually cannot describe HOW jealous!! I hate you!!! Now that I'm on my way and reflecting on my trip, I think Rio was probably THE highlight of the whole four months and six countries. In a somewhat sentimental moment (and appreciate this cos I DON'T do sentimental - just ask Bob!), thanks for making it so much fun. Though as if you weren't gonna be fun - you're just like me only trashier! Paris Hilton, please.... =) Long live the turbosluts!!!!!!!!!!!!!
