One Week to Go

Well as the title suggests, just one week left until we set off.

Over the last couple of weeks its been party time as we have said goodbye to workmates, friends and family, but now its time to knuckle down to final prep.

Tomorrow we're heading over to Hull to get our Thai Visas sorted in person (that way its quicker, cheaper and theres less chance of it getting lost in the post/passports going missing/being accidentally entered into the Ladyboy Exchange Programme). Also this week we have the heartbreaking task of saying goodbye to our boys, Pikey and Wayne (to those who don't know they are our goldfish) and a big thanks to Steph who will become their new foster mother hehe.

After that all we are left with is the small task of getting rid of everything we own, most traumatic of which will be Vikki having to cope with only 5 channels instead of the usual 5000 when the cable is disconnected!

Next time we will have chance to update this we will be on our way and probably in Cape Town. So for now, its been emotional, bye for now.

well Rik and Vikki have just left our house and will be boarding a plane tomorow...sniff he's all grown up and is leaveing our homeland. I just hope he doesn't scare off the great whites when he see's them with his special brown chum slick. look after yourselves and above all have fun. chris and urse
