7-13-18 Friday. Bucharest. We joined the group for a walk to a nearby produce and souvenir market but soon struck out on our own for the former residence (now a museum) of two very talented artists, Frederic and Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck. They were a married couple, he a sculptor, she a painter. There were many marble and bronze busts, a couple of full sized bronzes of a beautiful naked muscular man and a cleric, and many paintings influenced by Gaughin. One of the large rooms had murals on walls and ceiling. Unfortunately we only had enough local currency (Romanian lei) for the entrance but not enough for the photography fee. After lunch at the beer hall we had visited the day before, the group boarded buses for the drive to Constanza, the port on the Black Sea where we boarded the riverboat, Adagio, and had our dinner.
