The worst night of my life!

Well we decided we wanted to go to city about 4 hours away from Pai called Mae Hong Son to see the long neck Karen village. Again the bus ride was on a horrible road. When we got there it was a cool city but really nothing to do. We went to see a really nice wat(temple) on the lake and to go to a long neck big ear village. After that we were soo bored and had nothing to do. So we decided we would take a ngiht bus to Chiang Mai where we were going to go the next day anyways. We thought we could just sleep on the bus and have all day to explore ..WOW were we wrong.

When we got on the bus it was only about half full and some what comfortable. About 2 hours later everyone starts yelling and running off the bus. The bus apparently broke down (the driver didnt want to drive anymore). So we had no idea what was going on cuz they were yelling ot get off the bus in thai..we wer the only tourists on the whole bus. So we got on the next bus that was completly full already. We had to stand and lie down on the floor on a bus with double the legal amount of people. It didnt help that we took a sleeping pill before getting on the bus. Staying up after taking a sleeping pill os not good news. Finally we made it to Chaing Mai at 530am and NOTHING was open. Our cab driver didnt have change for us, he overcharged us and we couldnt find a hotel. We finally came across one. It was an actual hotel rather than a guesthouse that we are used to. It was 20$ We usually pay 4$ and the rooms are pretty much the same. It was nice to have a pool and tv though at this hotel. So we went to bed at 6am and slept til 2pm. This has been a very lazy day today but it was much needed after last night. Tomorrow morning we are taking a train to Sukothai. It is the first capital city of thailand so it has tons of ancient ruins.
