I've lost count of how many weeks this hot weather has lasted, but Ineke had a few days off, so we decided to make the most of it and head for the coast. It was boiling, and the bottoms of the tents were rolled up all day. We chose to camp in a different field this time, same site, and I was able to keep an eye on passing trains as well as hear them. Yesterday afternoon the thunder clouds rolled in so we quickly packed the tents up and came home. And eventually this afternoon there was a welcome drop of rain, everywhere round here is simply parched. I expect that once the school holidays begin, the rain will start in earnest, but for now its just a drip.
