Jesus Christ the Redeemer, photograph of the famous monument in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Designed by Heitor da Silva Costa and sculpted by Paul Landowski, the monument was completed on October 12, 1931. It has been an icon for Rio de Janeiro ever since. This photograph was taken in December 2007 by Ali Watters and has been set for use as a desktop background, right click and choose "set as wallpaper".
