A rolling "power hour" to raise awareness about global warming;

NZ Herald report

it is a great catalyst for much bigger changes. It engages people in the processes of becoming more energy efficient

does anyone know what effect it had? my kids were drummed into them at school and we did it. they knew all about it and were very concerned that we must do it. we were driving home for the first little while (of the hour) and I noticed about every second house had their lights off. My mother said in her area no one did it, and they felt silly sitting in the dark, while around them all the lights are on.

I live near brisbane city australia and it was eerie driving home along the road that should have the city lights blaring, looking instead into inky blackness - bizarre when a site you are used to isn't there anymore.

So did we save the planet?? Reply to this

Not in an hour, but Rome wasn't built in a day :-) Reply to this
