Hi, which places is recommended to visit between Calgary and Vancouver in winter? is it Jasper national park will be open in December-January?
(BTW, I will rent a car)
Thanks
Reply to this Hi David,
There are plenty of places to visit at that time. Keep in mind that it could be pretty cold and the roads can be treacherous, especially through the mountains. That said, all Nat'l Parks are open year round, but services might be limited. It'll all depends on what you're interested in. If it's skiing/snowboarding, then Banff, Lake Louise, Fernie, and Whistler are but a few places to keep in mind (I've provided some links below).
How much time do you have? Budget? Other interests?

Reply to this The Kootneys and Oakanogan are quite nice area's in BC that you could drive through. Kootney's has some good ski hills. My favorite being Red Mountain in Rossland.
