my daughter just lost her camera (may have been stolen) in Florence near the Duomo, and would
like suggestions as to where she could look to maybe get it back.
Hi. I am new to this forum, and I love to travel. However, I am writing with a special request.
My daughter has been in Italy for 3 1/2 weeks, having a wonderful time. Unfortunately, when I spoke to her today, she informed me that she had just lost her camera somewhere around the Duomo in Florence. She is devastated, and has retraced her steps over and over. It may have slipped off her wrist, or been stolen from her bag. She went to the police station to see if it might have been turned in, and the station was closed. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where she could look, who to ask, what to do to try to get the camera back? She doesn't really care about the camera, just the two memory cards, one in the camera and one in the case.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Reply to this Hey Tammy F, you might want to try posting on the lonely Planet forum called thorn tree or Boostnall Forum
Thx Mike😊
Reply to this If she knows anyone local then it is worth asking where stolen items are resold - worked in Ecuador for a friend. There was a specific market, probably worth asking the police also - they'd know.
Until she speaks to the police - and checks that it hasn't been handed in then don't give up hope.
