Can someone help identify the general locations of slides from Trip 1 of Three Trips?
I have digitized my father's photos from the 1940s and 1950s and have been able to identify everything except the locations of these trips. My parents lived in Akron, Ohio and traveled to all the states touching Ohio. They spent some summer vacations in Luther, Michigan (SW of Cadillac); they drove several times to the East Coast, and they drove to Florida.
To the best of my knowledge, these slides represent Trip 1. I believe that they are properly ordered, but an astute eye might think otherwise. Here are my best guesses as to the locations, but they are just guesses:
Photos 1.1 to 1.7 (Photos 1 to 7): Perhaps the eastern shore of Lake Michigan; perhaps Lake Erie.
Any information that anyone might recognize would be so helpful. Thank you.

I don't think it's solved the mystery - but maybe in a few years time google's Artificial Intelligence will have improved enough that it works - in the mean time... any ideas out there?
Reply to this I'm thinking these may have been taken from the US side of the Detroit River, just north of Lake Erie, near Wyandotte, or perhaps from Grosse Ile, MI.
I've stood on the river bank in Wyandotte, and you can see Fighting Island, or perhaps the Detroit River Wildlife Refuge island, that looks like your photo.
Of course that's a long time ago, but Wyandotte would save (sorta) been on the way to Luther.
Reply to this In response to: Msg #203486 I think that this is entirely possible, and I appreciate your help. I apologize for the tardy reply, but Christmas and other chaos intervened! I am hoping to post the next group of photos shortly.
