Hi, will be in Philadelphia from 9 to 13 April. Planning to travel around US for about 10 days. Looking for a host or travel buddy.

Hi there,

If you're looking for a host and free place to stay, you should joing www.couchsurfing.com. You can create a profile, search for hosts in that area, and email them to see if you can crash on their couch or floor, sometimes even spare bedroom. It's a great site and a wonderful traveling community. And you can try to find a host who has time to show you around, too. Reply to this

Checked that out but no suitable couchers in Phil and Boston. Btw any one tried GoToBus.com? They have bus tours. Not sure if they are reliable 😊 Reply to this

Muxi, I'm about 2 hours from Philly. :-/ I have a friend or 2 down that way but they're both college kids, and I would offer a place to stay but I think I'm a little farther than you would like. Might be hard to explore philly while driving 2 hr each way and while I work full-time.

I'm planning to be that way on Friday night (the 13) for a concert, but that will also be late. don't know much about the city either.

I know, big help Right? ha, sorry about that. Hope you find someone who can help you out.

Hi guys, thanks for the response. I am already in Philly. Leaving for Washington tomolo at 9am. Will be there till 17 Apr. Din manage to find any avail couch, so checking in to HI-Washington. Will be happy if there's any knowledgeable host as guide for 1 day, 16 Apr.
Btw, stayed in Holiday Inn City Line in Philly, inconsistent service, unsupportive staff.. avoid if you can. Am suppose to checkout on 14 and check back in on 17 Apr, and decided to break luggage so I can travel light to Washington. Spoke to manager if luggage can be left at bell desk from 14 to 17 Apr while I am away, response was cold.. 'not able to do that, only can hold for 12 hrs max', only upon repeated request for help, did he gave an indirect ok.. .. Reply to this
