Congratulations on Blogger of the Week KLPC

Kristina and Phu
We are two healthcare professionals from Virginia looking to explore the world on a budget. Food, people, and culture are what inspire us to travel, hoping we can incorporate a piece of each trip into our daily lives. Speed traveling is our forte, and we love experiencing as much as possible in as little time as possible. By taking advantage of long layovers and hopping between airports to combine multiple trips, we manage to cut costs. Whatever the travel method or where ever the destination, our goal is to soak up the world while we're still young, so follow us as we trek through countries a... full info

Nominated by D MJ Binkley I'd like to nominate KLPC for blogger of the week. Kristina and Phu are attempting to see the world...often times they only have a quick lay over. Speed traveling is their forte but they always manage to embrace a lot in a short period of time.

2nd by Home and Away Having just read a number of their blogs, and found that theirs are among the best written to be found on TB, I'm delighted to second the nomination of KLPC.

Have you seen any bloggers with four or fewer followers that you would like to nominate? If so, please place your nominations: Blogger Of The Week - Nominations Nominations are welcome from all bloggers, whether you are new to the site or are a blogging veteran!

We're honored to receive this distinction and wish to thank everyone for their nominations!

Kristina and I love sharing our stories, especially because our style of traveling often pushes us between a rock and a hard place, like when we missed our flight and were stuck in Istanbul with no money, or the time we rented a manual car in Iceland only to find that neither of us could drive stick, or when we ran like Hell through the streets of Paris to catch our shuttle, only to miss it anyway. But we wouldn't do it any other way because a journey that doesn't leave you tired, dirty, and uncomfortable isn't one worth taking.

As for our future travels, we plan on touring 10 cities in 8 days throughout Italy next month: Florence, Venice, Rome, Milan, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Montecatini, Cinque Terre, and Chianti. We then plan to make our first trip to South America by visiting Peru and Colombia in April. This summer, we will return to our homeland, Vietnam, to soak in the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay and Song Doong, the world's biggest cave. It will be a busy few months, but we travel to actively engage in the culture, not to sip Mai Tai's by the pool. Until then, happy travels! Reply to this

Congratulations! I love your writing. Did you go to Virginia Tech? My daughter graduated from there in 2010. Reply to this

Bob,

No, I didn't attend Tech but Kristina did. My entire family went to Tech so I grew up a Hokies fan, though. Reply to this
