how i can get a visa to america

Am from Africa but i live in Vietnam, i want to travel to america for some days to visit a friend but i don't know how to get a visa and my friend that live in america don't know how to do it. please can any one tell me what i have to do to get the visa, am a student Reply to this

Here is the link to the Visa application process. If you are traveling to the US to visit friends, you would want to apply for a Visitor B-2 Visa (a tourist visa). Depending which country you hold a passport from, you will probably need to make an appointment for a visa interview at the US Embassy. You may be able to do this from Vietnam, but I know some countries require you to apply from your home country. It depends.

You can apply for a tourist visa. But in most of the countries there are troubles while applying for visa. Try getting a written recommendation from your friend with his ID. And use it while applying for the visa.
