Each week...a new letter...from A-Z...Feel free to lay a track for the current week's letter...
A double B whammy. The Beach Boys with their rather politically incorrect song 'Bomb Iran'. They were certainly visionaries, I'll give them that much 😊
Reply to this B is for BOWIE
An old rocker still singing

Reply to this Ok, so technically, this track belongs on Love Unlimited's discography, but, Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra did record it, so, in reverence to the late and dearly missed 'Walrus of Lurve' I give you.......

Reply to this B is for what I would call the greatest band to come out of Australia. Not widely known,
The Birthday Party (who recorded between 1977-1983) was famous for its disturbing lyrics and anarchist live performances. The band was fronted by a screaming Nick Cave (before he mellowed) and the remarkable bass work of Tracy Pew. In this video, Mick Harvey is on drums and Rowland Howard attacks his guitar. Phil Calvert had already left the band.

Reply to this B...is for BUCHANAN...ROY BUCHANAN...who "makes rafters weep"
"ROY'S BLUEZ"
Reply to this A beautiful, yet haunting track courtesy of Beth Gibbons, formerly of Portishead.
Reply to this Despite the risk of incurring the wrath of the Dancing One, B wouldn't be the same without a little jazz from the Bill Evans Trio, accompanied by the wonderful Monica Zetterlund 😊

The Beatles - how did I forget to mention them especially since I have every song they've recorded on CD! A Day in the Life is a fantastic choice - I think it is their best (and it was Lennon's favourite as well).
Reply to this TRIPLE B...BOBBY "BLUE" BLAND
"I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU"
Reply to this Well before we leave B behind, I'd like to add a couple of Billys to the list.
The first, a song from my misspent youth, courtesy of Billy Idol
and of course, one of the greats......Billy Joel
Reply to this I feel that it is also my responsibility to put a finishing touch to B with The Brand New Heavies, who are one of my absolute favourite acid jazz groups.......N'dea Davenport is simply gorgeous 😊
Reply to this One of my favorites and not sure why I didn't post it first.
B is for Bob-- Marley. And my favorite song of his.
