One of the best and most famous Bolivian bands.
Bolivian...definitely a touch of the Andes...takes me there.
Reply to this There's actually a bit of a story to this; back in 1988 my Dad worked in Ecuador for several months, he brought back the CD of Los Kjarkas along with pan pipes, and a little armadillo (wooden!) guitar. I tried to play the instruments and listened to the CD over and over. Probably one of the many little events that inspired me to travel as an adult.
In 2007 I went to Bolivia, and one of my most treasured possessions is a beautiful Charango that I brought there for $300 USD - the best quality I could find.... the sound is incredible.
Reply to this We are doing some Bolivian research for the future and came upon this one. The music is similar in Peru but this has a different feel.
Same, same, but different.
