So surprised when I got this email - thank-you for the nominations aspiringnomad and auspicious!
To provide context for the photo:
I took this photo while at the Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong (hence my not so creative name). The Big Buddha is in my top five for things seen on this trip so far - something about it just fascinates me. The day I was there was after several days of cooler weather and the heat of the day was burning off the fog that had been sitting over Hong Kong since the cold weather had arrived. It created an almost surreal feeling while up at the Buddha as the fog was shifting around and creating a patchwork of clear sports and fog filled spots. Of all the statues praising the Big Buddha this was my favourite because of the simplicity of its hand gestures and expression.
