This photo was taken on the last morning we were in my friend's family's village. There had been a massive rain storm the evening before and as the day broke the clouds and mist were hanging close to the ground. There was really awesome light as the cloudiness burned off. We decided to drive around the village one last time before headng bath towards Athens.
This sheep dog had been lying in the only shady spot on the road when we drove up. He stood up either in greeting or as a warning, but I didn't test out which one it was! I love the light and how painterly this photo turned out, t's one of my favorites from this trip and a copy is hanging in my office at work.
