Hello Vietnam travelers!

My GF and I drove up the Vietnamese coast from Ho Chi Minh to Da Nang on a 2008, 100cc Honda Wave motorcycle. The bike is currently in Da Nang (30 minutes from Hoi An - popular tourist area). We did a lot of research into the trip and found a very good bike at a reasonable price and supped it up. A typical second-hand bike in Vietnam coasts from $300-500 USD when paying typical Vietnamese prices. Touristic prices can hit $1000 or higher.

We purchased the Honda Wave for $400 USD and invested another $80-100 in maintenance, basic repairs, and a custom built baggage rack that is perfect for backpackers. We are asking for only $300 USD and this includes all the required paperwork (i.e. insurance, ownership papers, and bill of sale documents from the past Vietnamese owner). Also included in the package are two helmets, bungees, rope, plastic covers, and ponchos for the rain. You can literary land in Da Nang ($75 flight from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh) and take off on the bike without dealing with the locals and spending days getting your bike ready.

The bike itself is in great condition, runs smoothly, has four gears manually changed, automatic clutch, operates smoothly at 45-55 km/h but can easily do more. The front break is a high powered disk break which makes it ideal for sudden breaking (which is needed) and wet conditions. The gas tank is good for 2.5-3 hours of driving. The bike is one of the most commonly owned in Vietnam which makes it SUPER easy for anyone to fix it. All the lights are working. Can handle two people and bags no problem. Rear suspension was upgraded to handle higher loads (doesn't bottom out).

If you are at all interested in riding the coast between Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang, then do not hesitate to e-mail me at , I have plenty of pictures of various components on the bike so you know what you are getting. Do remember that the Ho Chi Minh trail is in its prime, right where the bike is located (Da Nang area). Upon purchase, I will mail the keys, all the documents, and necessary paperwork to complete the transaction.

Kind regards,

Quinn
