Hello,
A friend and I will be going up to Asheville, North Carolina for a few days and I was looking for any suggestions as to places to see and things to do! We are on a budget!
We are both into just about anything that involves the great outdoors! So any trail suggestions or any good places to camp?
Any particular bars or restaurants that we shouldn't miss?
All ideas are welcome and greatly apprecciated!
Thanks - Khawes!
Reply to this If your travels bring you back again, you can go camping in Davidson River Campground in Brevard, only about 30 minutes from Asheville. If you want more luxury, you can try www.ashevillecottages.com for a nice cabin rental.
Reply to this You absolutely must go to one of the Apollo's Flame and Bistro restaraunts. Best greek food ever - and it's cheap not to expensive. It's one of the best restaraunts in Asheville. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a lovely place to cycle, drive, and hike. So anyone enjoying the outdoors should enjoy Asheville. My advice is to pop into the local tourist spot in Asheville, ask for the visitors center for the blue ridge parkway, and get the low down on the best trails. I live in Bryson City so I do most of my hiking over there and can't really tell you where the trails are in Asheville.
