hi guys
im thinking of traveling this year , and after a few months in oz i plan to travel across the usa , just wana know if i would be let in with a one way ticket ? as from oz i was goin to fly to L.A or sanfan sisco and amtrak across and up to new york city , then book another one way flight back to the uk after a few days in nyc ......

ive also herd u now need a visa to entre the usa for holidays ect ? how long are these valid for if this this is the case ?, im gessing i would have to vist a us embasy in sydney or sum where b4 i left oz as i cant see them being valid for 6 0r 8 months :S ....

What is the nationality on your passport?? Your country may have a Visa Exemption which i believe allows you to be exempt of Visa for holidays in the USA for 90 days.
As for the one way ticket, that is all up to immigration officers in the US. You may have to show proof of record of money to show that you can pay for another flight out of the country. You will also have to show you have a reason to leave the country such as family or home to go back to. Reply to this

US is one of the only country where I got ask most of the time the proof of a return tickets. As Aaron say, if you prove you have funds to continue it may be sufficient, but you may expose yourself to a lot of questions. Reply to this
