Big Bend - River levels are up!

Mexico has just released a lot of water from the damns on the Conchos River. This means that the water levels on the Rio Grande are up and great for rafting.

If you have ever wanted to raft the Rio Grande, now is your time to do so. Mexico has just released a bunch of water, and the river levels are up and perfect for that once in a lifetime trip. The weather has been cooperating, with highs in 70's and 80's.

October is a good time to visit this area, but do keep in mind that the weather can change rapidly this time of the year. So, come prepared, with a change of clothes and a backup plan, just in case.

The International Chili Cookoff is coming up in November, which means the area will be super busy, and lodging will be packed. So, try and get your river trips in before then.
